Our Philosophy
The bottom line is that it is our job to make web sites and tools in a way that they will work for you. There are a lot of intricacies invlolved in that, but our overall philosophy can be summed up in these concepts.
- Friendly Navigation -Nine times out of ten, a visitor coming to your site is looking for something. Chances are high that if they cannot find a link to what they're looking for within the first five seconds, they will leave. Developing good page navigation is an artform to itself and is a trait of any successful web site. A cleanly designed web site or user interface will always outperform a cluttered one.
- The KISS principle - Keep it Super Simple. In web or interface design, this is the golden rule. Few people want to "learn" to use a new program or navigate a web site. The simpler it is, the better. - If a user is unable to navigate your website they are not going to be able to view all your information and/or will likely leave your website. Statistically, a user who is visiting your website for the first time will only give it a few seconds of his or her viewing time. If the user is not able to navigate past the first page they will likely leave your site.
- Fast, Faster, Even Faster Yet - Speed is of the utmost importance on the web. Think about it, how long do you usually give a web site to load before moving on with your life? For most people, it's not much. Too many Web Design companies build graphics heavy web pages that are only made in an attempt to sell thier design to the business owner, not his clients and visitors. Yes, a graphic intensive site may look good, but how does that help you as a business when 90% of your visitors leave because it takes thirty seconds to load on a 56k modem? In many cases, the speed factor can make or break a web site.
